My name is FLAME, President of the Windy City Riders, and I ride a 1986 Virago 700SS.  I have been riding for about six years and have managed to average over 8,000 miles per year considering our short Midwest riding season.  I love to travel by motorcycle and have been all over the East Coast, Midwest and Canada.  I am 5' 1" tall and weigh approximately 115lbs.  So, ladies, don't let anyone tell you that you can't ride a larger bike, I am living proof.  Sure, in the beginning it wasn't easy but after height and seat modifications to fit my smaller stature the 550lb Virago is not a problem.  With extensive customizing I would consider my Virago "one of a kind".  Bought as a wreck the bike has been completely restored from the ground up, thanks to my husband and especially my buddies as Speed Limit Cycle.  Thanks Guys!  I have obviously added custom paint to the entire bike which included the Shoei X9 helmet.  In addition, the frame, swingarm, engine and misc. accessories have all been powder coated or chrome plated. All the nuts and bolts, center hubs on the spoke wheels, upper controls and switches, fork lowers, triple clamp, brake calipers and anything else you can think of has been chromed.  The wheel rims have been replaced, re-laced and trued. The engine has been modified with a Dynojet jet kit, Megacycle Stage One cams, Teflon coated pistons, custom valve job and porting and of course Jardine Rumblers exhaust with modified baffles.  Trust me when I say I can easily keep up with the boys. The suspension has been modified and lowered with Progressive Suspension shocks on the rear and Progressive's 1" lowering kit in the front.  The brake lines and cables have been traded over to braided stainless steel.  The bags were custom made by our friends Xavier and Zabrelle.  I, of course, get the typical looks, especially the ones that can't believe its a woman riding. If any women have any questions or concerns about purchasing, riding or choice of motorcycle please feel free to contact me at FLAME1LRT@aol.com.  Keep of the great work on the site and I am sure that I'll see some of you on the road.
