Hi my name is Shawna or ~DoveCry~ and I am from Michigan (yes, I hate the helmet laws). I just bought my bike this June of 2000 for my birthday. It's a Yamaha Cruiser V-Star custom 1999. I am hoping to take an Abate course this July of 2000 and be ready for some road trips before Michigan turns into the beautiful winter wonderland again. My husband has a Shadow 1100 and I must say my pipes sound better. Hey loud pipes save lives! I just had to add that to get him riled!:)
I am trying not to be intimidated right now... I tasted dirt when I was 7 riding on my Uncles motorcycle and was fearful of bikes for years. I met my husband in 1994 and slowly he has resumed my love for riding in the wind. I finally decided I was done being a backseat driver! I owe my need for my own bike to my being the control freak... I said that's it I need to get my own bike. He said Okay and the rest is just history. I have learned that life is just to short and to experience it to the max. I thank my mom who recently died of cancer for teaching me to live on. (please women get checked!) I know she'd be yelling at me if she were here though... she hated bikes... she'd be saying "Shawna I didn't mean get a motorcycle when when I said live life to it's fullest". he he he. My other interests are birding, writing, and listening to my husband jam on his drums.
